Chapter 1: Introduction to the letter, divisions, and wisdom
Paul sees the church as God sees it: blameless and pure.
Then Paul rebukes them for their divisions.
Paul writes at length about the wisdom of this world versus the wisdom of God.
What kind of divisions were there? Divisions of doctrine?

Paul purposefully speaks plainly so that the power of God the Holy Spirit convicts and convinces the Corinthians.
The wisdom of God is foolishness to the natural man.
