Youth Group 4th Week Tonight

We had a great time at our 4th week tonight. We have 4th weeks every now and then. We used to have it every 4th week, but that didn't always happen, but the name stuck. We had some pizza, prayer, games, and fellowship. Everyone seemed to have a good time playing Skip-Bo, Uno, and Phase 10. Thanks everyone for coming tonight. Next week we will resume with 1 Corinthians 15 so come again. Two weeks we're having a special Valentine's Day "4th week." There's rumors of some Dance Dance Revolution... Bring your friends.

Youth Group Work Project - Calvin's Closet

We had youth group work project. Some pictures below.

Way back in August 2004 we had a youth group work project to organize and prepare Calvin's Closet. 

I Corinthians 15 - The Resurrection

I know it's been awhile, but it's hard to keep blogs updated unless you really get used to typing them.

In youth we've been studying I Corinthians for a long time. Currently we are studying the great resurrection chapter, 1 Corinthians 15. This past week we were to read ten verses a day and write down a thought or question about the passage we read. So in youth group we read the first ten verses and then all shared our thoughts and questions about the passage. I thought it was a successful time in sharing and getting to understand the passage a lot better.

During our MNF we also had a great prayer time praying for one another sharing requests and immediately praying for that request. After the lesson we had a praise time where we spoke praises of the Lord. Many times in life we praise people and things like musicians, video games, products, clothes, etc. It seems difficult to praise the Lord in the same way, so we spent some purposeful time speaking short praises to and about the Lord.
